      If this is something you are considering for your child, let me tell you what Horse Showing can offer you and your child.  First, where can you find a more wholesome sport? 

    This hobby/sport will teach your child compassion, responsibility and a love that is incomparable.  Your child will spend hours grooming, training and working with their horse on a one on one basis resulting in your child developing a bond that just cannot be broken.  They will learn that no matter how bad they feel, how tired they are or what their friends are doing that day, a horse still needs to be exercised, a stall needs to be cleaned, they need to feed their horse, but most importantly, they need to be LOVED!!!!!  They will learn about winning, losing and the dedication it takes to get to that BLUE RIBBON.

    An extra credit for Dad’s is that daughter’s that develop this passion for horse’s often do not pay attention to boys until a later age, as nothing can interfere with “HORSE TIME”.  For the parents, whether you are a horse lover or not, nothing compares to watching your child control these large, wonderful animals.

    Many young ladies who started out showing as little ones with the Yorba Linda Country Riders have gone on today to have successful careers, they have shown Breed Shows at the “WORLD” level, and some have College Scholarships.

    The dedication and concentration to details has been instrumental in their development that all started with the love of horses and showing.  The memories of showing their horses will never be forgotten and many adults today, who are still involved in the horse world, say they would never give up their childhood horse showing days.
